This is the Second playbook in the Leadership series — designed for you to download, print, and work through at your own pace.
A 30-day leadership development playbook created for leaders who want to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and lead with greater connection, awareness, and intention.
Many leadership challenges do not come from lack of knowledge, experience, or capability. More often, they emerge from assumptions, emotional reactions, communication habits, unresolved tension, and relational patterns that influence how leaders connect with others every day. Even highly capable leaders can unintentionally create distance, misunderstanding, pressure, or disconnection when relationships are not approached with awareness and intention.
This playbook is designed to help leaders slow down and better understand how they build trust, communicate, influence, support, and respond within professional relationships. Rather than focusing purely on leadership performance, the journey explores the human side of leadership — how relationships shape culture, decision-making, team dynamics, morale, and long-term effectiveness.
Using the LEAPS framework — Learn, Energy, Action, Processing, Shout Out — participants are guided through a structured 30-day journey focused on reflection, awareness, and practical relationship development. Each section encourages leaders to notice their communication patterns, emotional responses, listening habits, assumptions, boundaries, and leadership behaviours more clearly before attempting to change them.
Throughout the playbook, leaders will explore themes such as trust, empathy, communication, emotional regulation, difficult conversations, relational energy, psychological safety, influence, and intentional connection. The process creates space to better understand how leadership relationships are formed, strengthened, strained, or repaired over time.
Inside the playbook you’ll find:
Guided learning around relationship-based leadership and the 7 GLAS Elements
A GLAS Vision Original™ visual focused on leadership relationships and connection
Reflection prompts designed to increase awareness around communication and relational patterns
Exercises to explore energy, emotional responses, and relational impact
Practical tools to support stronger conversations, clearer communication, and healthier leadership dynamics
Processing questions that encourage deeper reflection and intentional thinking
A shout out and gratitude section designed to reinforce recognition, appreciation, and positive leadership behaviours
This playbook is designed for leaders who believe stronger leadership begins with stronger relationships — and that greater awareness, clearer communication, and more intentional connection can create more sustainable and meaningful leadership over time.
