Educational Resources

Purpose:
To design and develop engaging, accessible educational resources that promote emotional awareness, kindness, and connection among children and young people — supporting Joe’s Buddy Line’s mission to improve mental health conversations and wellbeing in schools and communities.
Scope of Work
1. Joe’s Buddy Line® Visual Resources
A full suite of illustrated learning and wellbeing tools created to encourage open dialogue, empathy, and self-reflection in young audiences. Each piece combines clear educational messaging with playful illustration and visual storytelling. Example of key resources:

Hope Not Stigma – encouraging understanding, balance, and positive perspectives on mental health.
Online Care, Not Online Harm – guiding responsible, kind behaviour in online spaces.
Each resource was designed to communicate complex emotional ideas through simple, friendly language and relatable character design, supporting both classroom use and individual reflection.
2. Buddies Talk — Children’s Transition Book
Buddies Talk: Moving from Primary to Secondary Education is an illustrated children’s book designed to help pupils navigate the emotional and practical challenges of transition.
Created in collaboration with Tina Rae (author) and Joe’s Buddy Line, with a foreword by Roman Kemp, the book combines colourful character-led storytelling with activities and reflective prompts that build confidence, kindness, and resilience.
Design Approach
Consistent visual identity across all materials — warm, approachable, and inclusive.
Illustration-led learning, making emotional health topics accessible for all reading levels.
Use of the charity’s core themes: Safety, Connection, and Direction.
Print-ready, classroom-friendly formats designed for easy use by teachers and facilitators.
Impact
These resources have helped schools and communities open real conversations about mental health, friendship, and wellbeing — reinforcing Joe’s Buddy Line’s mission to inspire hope and kindness in memory of Joe Lyons.
The Dare podcast - Darrin Johnson

Brand, Strategy & GLAS Integration
Purpose
To clarify and elevate the I Dare You Podcast brand — transforming it from an established personal project into a strategic platform for growth, engagement, and audience connection. The aim was to create a consistent identity, clear positioning, and a content framework aligned with the GLAS Vision and tools.
Scope of Work
1. Brand Definition & Visual Direction
Developed a cohesive visual language for I Dare You, grounded in clarity, courage, and authenticity — the core values behind the podcast’s message. This included the DARE acronym system (Dream, Act, Realize, Excel) and a visual identity designed to inspire reflection and action.
2. Strategic Framework & Tools
Applied the GLAS Method® to establish structure and rhythm in both podcast development and audience engagement:
Created GLAS Vision visuals and supporting worksheets to integrate learning, reflection, and self-development into each episode.
Developed a content cadence and engagement strategy.
3. Audience Engagement Resources
Created a suite of companion resources for listeners, connecting podcast content to practical reflection tools:

Joffe Emergency Services

Building Confidence, Clarity & Preparedness
Purpose
Joffe Emergency Services supports schools and educational organizations across the U.S. to prepare for emergencies — from natural disasters to active shooter situations. Their work centres on empowering school leaders, staff, and wider communities with the confidence, systems, and training to respond effectively when it matters most.
We partnered with Joffe to translate their complex, deeply human work into clear, engaging visuals that support both marketing and client learning. The aim was to help schools understand where they stand on their preparedness journey, identify gaps, and open deeper conversations about strategy, leadership, and culture.
The resulting suite of visuals included:
Level 5 Model: A structured roadmap showing progression from unprepared to strategic readiness.
Peaks & Dips Model: Illustrating how confidence and clarity grow through proactive development versus reactive response.
Ecosystem Map: Showing how schools connect with wider community partners — from emergency services to legal and media.
Build Up Model: Depicting the internal growth journey from decision to brilliance.
Together, these frameworks brought Joffe’s expertise to life — giving their clients clarity, shared language, and motivation to move from compliance to confident leadership in safety.
