You Can’t Buy The Result | Produce | How to Fail

Hello there! Welcome to my weekly LEAPS.

You’re receiving this email because you subscribed to my weekly Wednesday feature or our mailing list. Every Wednesday, I share 5 things using our LEAPS approach:

Learn: something new or an idea
Energy: an energy (good or bad) word and it’s meaning
Action: something to do
Processing: a question to consider
Shout out: something or someone that I want to celebrate or acknowledge

LEARN
Something Worth Sharing

You Can’t Buy The Result

We spend a lot of our lives chasing results.

  • Success.

  • Happiness.

  • Material things.

  • Status.

  • Wealth.

We search for them as though they're destinations we can arrive at or things we can buy off the shelf, but they're not, they're the result of something else.

Success is rarely a single breakthrough. It's usually the result of years of practice, effort, setbacks and showing up when nobody is watching.

Happiness often grows from meaningful relationships, purpose, gratitude and spending time doing what gives us joy.

Material things aren't the prize in themselves. They are often the result of hard work, wise choices, patience and deciding what matters enough to invest in.

Status isn't something we demand. It grows from how we treat people, the value we create, the compassion we show and the trust we earn.

Wealth is about much more than money. Financial wealth matters, but so do time, health and relationships. A truly rich life is built across all four.

The mistake is focusing on the outcome while neglecting what produces it. We become so busy watching the fruit that we forget to nurture the roots.

Perhaps the question isn't:

"How do I become more successful?"

It's:

"What do I need to consistently do that creates success?"

The same is true of happiness, status, material things and wealth.

Don't watch the scoreboard. Play the game.

ENERGY
Focusing on an emotion or energy; a stand-out word / s

Produce

The word comes from the Latin producere: pro meaning ‘forward’ and ducere meaning ‘to lead or bring.’ It literally means "to bring forth."

It helps us to remember that nothing meaningful simply appears - but comes from the choices we make, the habits we build and the actions we repeat over time. Don't chase what you want: produce what creates it.

ACTION
Something small that you can do that might make a big difference

The Result You’re Chasing

Choose one result you're currently chasing. It might be:

  • Success

  • Happiness

  • Better health

  • More time

  • Stronger relationships

  • Greater wealth

Now ask yourself:

What consistently produces this result? Write down three actions that create it. Then choose one of those actions and commit to repeating it this week.

PROCESSING
A question to think about and consider (you can discuss this with someone or write your thoughts down
)

“What have you prioritised in your life that hasn't produced what you hoped it would?”

We all invest our time, energy and attention somewhere. Sometimes we discover that what we've been pursuing hasn't given us the fulfilment, peace or satisfaction we expected. Reflecting on this isn't about regret; it's about recognising where a different focus might produce a different result.

This question will be added to the Community Space in the Leapers Club for you to share your thoughts.

SHOUT OUT
Who / what I think deserves recognition, my gratitude or to be celebrated.

Small Changes, Multiplied.

It's easy to underestimate the power of small actions because we judge them in isolation. One healthy meal doesn't transform your health. One conversation doesn't build a relationship.

However, multiply those same actions over days, months and years, and they produce extraordinary results. We often overestimate what we can achieve overnight and underestimate what consistent action can produce over time.

So, here's a shout out to making small changes over time that build and lead to something significant - to keep practising, keep showing, keep trying.

They're small changes, multiplied.
