GLAS: Deliberate Kindness Poster by Dani Saveker
Kindness is a key part of the GLAS methodology and framework - it is regarded as one of 5 ‘connecting’ elements; it runs from ‘identity’ all the way to ‘purpose’.
On 13th November 2023, it is World Kindness Day and this poster was specifically created for this, although it is something we encourage people to use each and every day.
The poster design shows how balance is vital to kindness, when we overcompensate and are ‘too kind’, it no longer remains kind and shifts to depletion. This is often to be accepted and belong. Equally, an insufficient amount of kindness is often linked to judgement - not necessarily of others, but of ourself.
The 5 dials running on the left hand side are 5 critical aspects of kindness, the need to:
be conscious of kindness
be open to kindness, open heart and mind
to make an effort to be kind - and receive kindness
to observe kindness around you - to look for it
to be deliberate about kindness in your life
The bottom section is designed to be considered, discussed and filled in. The 5 linked circles from ‘kindness to self’ through to ‘kindness for your future’ are built around the GLAS principle elements.
