CODES of Momentum - Pedestal
Simple illustration detailing the comparison of ourselves with others and the ‘pedestal’ phenomenon.
The lower someone sees themselves and their life (which is hidden from us), the more hurt they can feel when someone else appears to be excelling or successful. When someone appears to be doing well, the more pain this provokes within someone with low self-value. Imagine all of us are on an individual pedestal - people can throw judgement, bantering and bitching at others to knock them off and bring them to the level they perceive themselves as being on.
The answer is to know everyone has the right to sit on a pedestal – we are equal: no one needs to be pushed off.
