Something Worth Sharing30,000 Days I know we all say it, but life is short. I’ve been working on our family tree a little recently and have managed to get to the 1600s with James and Abigail Saveker. Learning about various past generations is fascinating and a reminder that life keeps rolling on regardless. I know that I can be guilty of holding back at times - wanting to make sure things are “perfect”, but we just have to jump in. I was recently reminded of when we start romantic relationships and how we can hold back in case our feelings aren’t reciprocated and we get hurt. But what I personally found is that life is way too short - and precious - for games. Life is also too short for doing something you absolutely hate and dread, too short for listening to nonsense, too short to moan about things, too short to feel alone and too short to put off what you instinctively know is right for you. On average, in the Western world, we live for about 30,000 days (82 years). I wanted to go back to a visual I created a few years ago - a wonderful book by Bronnie Ware called The Top 5 Regrets of the Dying - and see what we can all learn: Live a life true to yourself - only we live it, so get on with doing it well Don’t delay - seize the moment! If not now, then when? Express your true feelings - emotions are there for a reason Connect to friends - we are meant to be social, even with just a few people Be happy - give yourself permission to let go and live!
