Something Worth SharingInto The Universe While we were away in the Canadian mountains recently, on the second day I triggered an issue in my hip flexor - so while the family went to ski, I remained at the bottom of the mountain. I made a fabulous - and picturesque - temporary office for myself and set off working on a client project. I’d spotted the adjacent table had a similarly positioned lady - also equipped with a laptop and coffee. After about 10 minutes her husband appeared - fresh from the snowy mountains outside. While not meaning to listen-in on their conversation as she packed her laptop away, I did catch that she was a writer and when she said “perhaps some big publisher will pick this one up”. I couldn’t help but stop typing and look up - and say “if you put it out into the universe, something might come of it”. We got chatting and it turned out she is already a published children’s author. After we chatted for a good while, she wished me a lovely day and handed me a book mark with her details. I was left with the warmth of meeting someone new and making a connection. While I’d suggested that putting her wish into the universe was important, my learn is that actually just being open to opportunities in the universe - such as talking to a stranger - can be equally important. We can either choose to be open to what is presented to us, or closed and miss the warmth, opportunities and joy the universe holds.
